Wedding planning is never easy, there are lots of things to think about, some of which you may not even realise that you need to think about. From the first moment that the ring is on your finger, you are going to need to start planning. With so many different suppliers to consider, including the ever popular videographer and photographer, your best bet may be to attend a wedding fayre.
Here you will find not only a vast array of inspiration, but also a number of suppliers that you can talk to and ask any questions. The only problem with wedding fayres is that they can be overwhelming and it is difficult to think about where to go first.
To help you to make the most of this valuable opportunity, we have put together our guide to how to get the most from a wedding fayre.
Check out the catwalk show
One of the highlights of any wedding fayre, a wedding catwalk is a great place to spend some time. It will not only give you a chance to sit down and relax after wandering around, but it is also a place to gain inspiration for your wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses and even your suits too.
Always take your time
There is no point heading to a wedding fayre on a very short space of time, if you do this then not only are you likely to miss things that are important, but you might also find yourself rushing around and getting stressed out. Always plan a good couple of hours at any wedding fayre, particularly the larger ones and this will make sure that you don’t end up missing out on anything that you really should be taking the time to see.
Never be afraid to ask questions
There is a reason why there are a variety of stands at a wedding fayre, of course for the suppliers it is a chance to show off what they can do, but more than this, it is a chance for couples to ask some all important questions. Whilst you may find that there are plenty of people who run around, grabbing cards and not really stopping, this isn’t always going to be the best way to find out as much information as possible.
Put your name on lists
There are plenty of cards and leaflets to collect when you head to a wedding fayre, that when you get home you might not know where to start contacting the supplier or even have the time to email those people too. Instead, put your names on lists that they have out on the table. This is no commitment to signing up to their service, it just means that they are able to contact you rather than you worry about it.
Wedding fayres are incredibly vital for any couples during the wedding planning process. They can help you to make some of the most important decisions for suppliers, such as your videographers and photographers. This means that you should definitely make an effort to visit them and take your time to look around at all the amazing things that you can see.
