The wedding video of Harri and James was at Painshill park in Surrey. Painshill park is an 18th century landscaped garden and a walled garden within it forms the perfect setting for a wedding.

We filmed people as they arrived and captured the excitement of the build up to the ceremony. There is often a nervous tension prior to a wedding which is always great to capture. The ceremony was beautiful and the groom was emotional as the bride walked down the aisle.

The reception drinks were both in the conservatory and outside in the walled garden. We always try and capture a range of different shots to capture the enjoyment had by all and get a real sense of the occasion.

The conservatory was split into two sections, one for the reception drinks and a separate area for the wedding breakfast. Although beautifully lit the wedding breakfast area was quite dark but luckily we shoot with the A7sii which is one of the best cameras around in low light. For the speeches we connected a sound recorder to the DJ booth to pick up the speeches through the microphones they were using. When this is possible it’s a great way of capturing the sound.

We usually capture guest messages between courses but in the wedding of Harri and James there was a great opportunity to do so while the guests were queuing for their meal. It was a great buffet style wedding breakfast with really delicious food.

The cake and the first dance were typical of the day. Fun, with loads of energy and smiles.
